Festivals generally prefer a more permanent solution than Tyvek wristbands with many Festivals running for more than 48 hours. Tyvek Wristbands can be used for a specific event within the Festival itself. Paper wristbands start to degrade after 48 hours which makes them less suitable for any event or function lasting more than 2 days. A number of Festivals now last 3-4 days or even sometimes a week, which makes Fabric Wristbands a more suitable alternative. If a festival lasts just 1 or 2 days then Tyvek Wristbands remain a viable and economical solution for organisers who can easily distinguish between Attendees, Staff, VIP Guests, Etc

Charities and other good causes seeking to raise awareness for a particular cause generally opt for Silicone Wristbands which can usually be sold or donated. Silicone Wristbands are ideal for this purpose as they will last months or years and can be removed and/or replaced at the discretion of the wearer. Tyvek bands are not best suited to a fund raising concept but have been used extensively for events organised in aid of charity such as Fun Runs, Half Marathons, Walkathons, etc. While not being ideal to raise awareness for a good cause, paper bands can be extremely helpful when organising one off events.
